A perfect special place to practice mindfulness and self-isolation
The Philosophy
Pursuit of perfection.
Not just a sport but also a passion and craft.
The art of fly tying is the use of natural furs and feathers to create an imitation or an attractor to find and hook a fish.
It is said that the ancient Greeks were the first to catch trout on a fly some 2000 years ago.
(As with all fish stories there are lots of theories.)
Names like Green Drake, Blue Charm, Green Bear, Butt Hair, Cosseboom...
You can learn to tie flies but exercising patience, practice and having a good teacher - an "old guy” - helps.
Old Guys
If two people have a common passion, why should age matter? Plus, it is the best way to learn when it comes to all aspects of fly fishing.
Young Guys (Next Gen)
They have to be able to listen, show dedication and smoke cigars. I’m now becoming the Old Guy.
Travel
Whether it is the stream within walking distance of your cabin, a secluded lake or an exotic location, there is not enough hours or days left in your life to explore them all.
