"Everyone has a skull"

The meaning and history behind a skull bracelet:
Its history goes back to ancient Egypt. Skull bracelets were made in various materials such as leather, ceramic or a variety of different metals; they were worn by both women and men.

The skull bracelets were believed to strengthen the health of their owner, protected them from evil spirits and gave them strength.

I asked Ken's sister, New York Jewelry designer, Rebecca Koven to help me recreate Ken's skull bracelet. The and the bracelets are the result of our collaboration.

These bracelets were made to honour the life of Ken Koven, a lover of the outdoors and a connoisseur of the cooler and finer things in life.

1967 - 2016

A .925 sterling silver skull bracelet. The individual skull links are hand soldered together to form the bracelet and there is a durable lobster clasp closure.
